Groundwater Vulnerability and Groundwater Contamination Risk in Karst Area of Southwest China

Groundwater pollution in karst areas is often the result of interaction hydrogeological characteristics and human activities. In this study, a chimeric evaluation system groundwater vulnerability load was constructed, contamination risk intuitively displayed using map. The study area located Qiannan, typical Southwest China. mainly calculated PLEIK model. Pollution source evaluated classification method. status by CCME WQI results show that research at medium level. with high values were distributed industrial parks other pollution-source-gathering areas. water quality generally good. However, impact some sources on surrounding still cannot be ignored. reveal level provide theoretical support for regional protection.
